Suburban Park is home to eight bowl-shaped depressions in the ground, called kettles, which were created by glaciers over twelve million years ago. The largest of the kettles held a carousel and fountain. Thanks, in part to these geologically significant findings, the area of Suburban Park was preserved as an open space area.
